We are conveniently located in Boulder Plaza, and the balcony banner on our building can be seen from the highway.
Our regular office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 am – 5:30 pm. Teleheath is available after regular office hours. We are closed daily for lunch between 12:30 pm – 2 pm.
If you have an urgent medical need and need to talk to Dr. Hooper after our regular hours, please call our office at (209) 532-3370. A doctor is on-call 24 hours a day. Your call will be returned promptly.
At Sonora Primary Care, we accept Medicare and most major insurance plans (see below). Please contact your insurance company or you may call our office at (209) 532-3370 to find out if we accept your plan.

If your insurance plan requires you to pay a co-payment, co-insurance, and/or a deductible, you will need to pay at the time of your visit. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

If Dr. Hooper suggests a specialist evaluation or diagnostic testing that requires a referral, we will make every effort to provide this for you as soon as possible.
Some referrals require insurance preauthorization and cannot be processed immediately. Insurance guidelines prohibit us from backdating referrals. We require three business days for the processing of routine referrals.
Also, we are accepting referrals for Nutritional Pain Management.
Dr. Timothy Hooper at Sonora Primary Care has hospital affiliations with Adventist Health Sonora.
Prescriptions and refills for established patients of Sonora Primary Care are routinely issued during our regular office hours (see above). You can make your request by calling our office at (209) 532-3370.
No refills are issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as Dr. Hooper does not have access to your medical records during those times. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.
In the event of a life-threatening medical emergency, call emergency medical services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Inform the emergency room staff that you are a patient of Dr. Timothy Hooper and they will contact us.
